Hughie Hancox worked for the Triumph Engineering Company Ltd from 1953 until the workers co-operative takeover in 1973. He has vast experience in all aspects of post-war Triumphs and, until his passing, earned his living as a professional restorer transforming old, tired motorcycles into pristine, show winning examples. In this video, Hughie has endeavoured to not only pass on his knowledge for future generations, but also to take some of the mystique out of processes which, when explained, seem just common sense.
In this film, the skills and techniques demonstrated are applicable to most makes of post war four stroke motorcycles that were fitted with either AMAL or SU carburettors.
